Membership Benefits

Statewide Membership - The APA is represented in virtually every corner of the state.  Our executive board consist of members in Tucson, Flagstaff, Yuma, Mesa, Phoenix, Prescott, Glendale and Pinetop.  This is a true STATE association with equal focus and attention for every community in Arizona.

Legislative Monitoring - The APA employes the services of respected lobbyist John Mangum to monitor any legislative and/or regulatory develpoments that may arise.  Though the Law Offices of John Mangum, the APA is also proactive in proposing legislation that is positive for our industry.  Mr. Mangum's client list includes Fortune 500 companies such as Coca-cola and Budweiser.

Communication - Members can join the APA email discussion group.  This group offers members a free flow discussion with peers, as well as the latest news and updates regarding every aspect of our industry.

Community Involvement - The APA is also dedicated to the improvement of our communities and the quality of life in Arizona.  At the 2003 general meeting the APA membership voted to sponsor Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  Through an initial cash donation and additional point of sales donations collected by our members, the APA will join companies such as Discover, Ford Motor Company, Marshalls and Walgreens in sponsoring this great cause.  This type of philanthropy allows Arizona's pawnbrokers to give back to their communities.

Meetings & Conventions - The APA holds an Annual Convention and quarterly executive board meetings.  The meetings and conventions are open to all active members.  These events offer our membership the opportunity to express issues that are important to them, their community and our industry as a whole.  Please click on the NEWS tab for the latest convention and meeting information.
